Hi! I'm Stephy. I am an American graduate student currently living in the Midwest of the USA, near Chicago. With each spare moment, I hop on a plane and explore the world, one city at a time. I plan at least one major trip each year. I believe that the best way to learn about a new place to is to travel as a local, not a tourist. So my trips are never shorter than six weeks. Traveling solo is the best way to truly be an adventurer, although having companions is fun too!
My explorations are tailored toward my three loves--- ocean exploration, food, and languages. So my focuses are mainly beaches, scuba diving, snorkeling, mom-and-pop restaurants, street food vendors, outdoor markets, and becoming a polyglot. I achieve this wanderlust through word of mouth (from other backpackers) and talking to the locals themselves.
