"Of all the books in the world, the best stories are found between the pages of a passport."
For me, learning is best done in person. I am an advocate for solo travel. Anyone can do it! When all you have to depend on is yourself, your human capability extends more than it ever would. I have now explored nearly FORTY countries solo. Join me as I share tips, trips, and guides on how to safely and adventurously travel. You can't be an expert on a location that you only stay for a day, then move on from. My goal is to be there long enough to feel like I live there, by shopping in the markets, knowing the street vendors by name, cheering on the same performers each day, and avoiding the obviously tourist-packed areas (aka tourist traps). To do this type of traveling, you can't read conventional travel information or blogs. This type of travel is unconventional. Although sometimes scary (like many new things can be), traveling and exploring as a minimalist is the best way to do it. |
